Two figures sat in a dark gray van: in the driver's seat was a tall dark haired man and in the passenger seat a small, thin girl. The girl's head was covered with a fuzzy knitted had to hide the fact that it was completely void of hair underneath. Her eyes were shining with excitement and anticipation as she sat in her seat fidgeting with a huge toothy smile spread across her face. Today would be the first time she had left the hospital in weeks. When the car stopped the girl bounded out the door with a speed that belied her illness. Running into the park she kicked her shoes off and and burying her toes in the long green grass.
