Personal Narrative: Try Out For The Volleyball Team

At the start of my freshman year I was coming into high school with not many friends. I knew though that I was going to try out for the volleyball team for my school. Never having played before on an actual team I had no experience. That didn’t matter to me, I wanted not only to join for the love of playing but also to make new friends and become a part of a community. Before I even graduated high school, I remember in middle school I made friends during gym class from just wanting to play volleyball with other students who also wanted to. I knew I had to try my best to try out and make the team because I loved playing and needing to get involved in my school and it was a perfect way to put those two together.
