Academics have always been a huge part of my life. I started learning addition and subtraction before I could read at an advanced level. From that moment on, I was hooked on learning. If I was told that this upcoming math test is where students usually struggle, I’d think to myself, “Challenge Accepted”.

Although I still loved how well of an influence Atticus was on his children and the town of Maycomb, no longer did I want to be a lawyer. I wanted to be part of the reason the business was held together. I wanted to be a marketing manager. I had always been creative, however I always thought acting was the only way to do so. I was wrong. During Honors Spanish 1, we created skits and projects of Spanish we learned each chapter. I joined FBLA and competed in Web Design, which I placed ___ at districts. We’d write poetry in English class and in Meteorology we wrote a weather paper—that I used to let out my inner meteorologist. All of these things were times that I was letting my creativity out and I didn’t even realize it.
As I look back over my life, I realize that everything I’ve done during school, whether it was in a core class or an elective, has prepared me to not only succeed in my future career, but to answer to the years old question: what do you want to be when you grow up? I will now reply, a marketing
