To be a hero doesn't mean someone needs to save your life or stop something bad from happening; they just have to be someone you can look up to. When I was told I needed to write about a Michigan hero, I was so stumped. A family member, a friend, a teacher? Then my teacher finally said something: a coach. The dictionary definition of coach is ¨An athletic instructor or trainer.¨ To me, my coach is more than that. My volleyball coach, Shannon, is sweet, loving, caring, patient, and a very good teacher. One reason that Shannon is my hero is that she is caring. She always makes sure that everyone else is ready to go and everyone is ok before practice or a game. She is such a kind person and she will always cherish the little things. Shannon
