Personal Narrative: Titus Cousin

There are people in the world that have to juggle multiple jobs. The reasons may vary from person to person. Someone might need the extra money because they have financial problems while others might just want the money to buy something important to them. It’s a rare thing to find someone who has a lot of jobs by choice and can still be kind, intelligent, and family oriented. My cousin, Titus Colón, has all of those qualities and more. Titus is a really hard working person. He works in the anime industry doing a variety of jobs here and there. One of his jobs include being and ADR director. For that job he basically directs voice actors on how to sound for a specific character. For example, if the character is a very sarcastic person and the voice actor thought that the character’s lines sounded angry then the ADR director would correct that person. Titus’ second job is being a script writer. A script writer rewrites the exactly translated version of the script for the anime into sentences that make sense in English. His third job is that he schedules the voice actors for anime conventions all around the world. Titus is very good at all of his jobs and rarely takes any sick days throughout the year. Loving your job that much is really quite incredible. …show more content…
He loves literature and has a wide range of vocabulary. He loves to read Shakespeare for fun and actually understands what is happening in each and every Shakespeare play. He loves to speak in Shakespearean language all the time because he just loves the way it sounds. Besides Shakespeare, he reads absolutely anything. He once read the whole twilight and hush, hush series with me simply because I asked him to. I loved watching his reaction to the books and in return I read Hamlet with him and tried to teach me Shakespearean language but it never stuck with me. He is also very good at math and absolutely loves numbers though he prefers literature. His intelligence always amazed

Today’s goal was to introduce me to the site, the people that work in my department, the resources available to workers, and current projects. My volunteer supervisor, Geraldine Baptist, showed me around the hospital, specifically where I would normally sign in and sign out, the cafeteria, and the Occupational/Physical therapy outpatient department. Upon arrival at the OT/PT department, Ms. Baptist introduced me to the front desk secretary, Mauracell, a sweet, openhearted young lady. Mauracell warm welcoming made me extremely comfortable, and all anxiety was put to ease. Mauracell showed me around the office and work center, then introduced me to each person present and gave me a description of what types of things they work on.…

As hard as my relationship was with Thomas, I am grateful for what I learned from being with him. I learned that I am a strong and an independent person. I didn’t need him to make me feel secure and happy. According to Mendenhall (2014), intimacy dances work best when they support both people (Mendenhall, 2014b).
