Time travel tunnel, I'm driving through it at the edge of the world, or at least what I perceive to be the edge of the world... I'll cut to the chase. You don't want all the extra fluff and I don't want to give it to you. I was time traveling through a tunnel-- no, it was more like a wormhole, no time travel involved-- tesseracting, dimension traveling... but "time travel" sounds cooler. It's more accepted by the general public.

Anyway, so I came out the other side into a pine forest, but the ground is covered with oak leaves and all the fruits were upside down the roots were the branches were the roots and the ground was above me? There was blue grass, like crabgrass, thick, moist ready to burst with water and health and plumpness and juice

Have you ever stopped caring so much that whatever happens, happens? I remember the time I had gotten in trouble by my mom because I had walked home from school. It was a gloomy day from it being so cloudy and cold. I was talked into walking home during school by friends whom, at the time didn't care about school as much as I did, cared nothing of school. I didn’t like it, but then again I started not to care either.…

Twenty-two years ago on January 4th, 1994, Taryn Staley was up at Finny Cumberlane to celebrate Gary’s, Taryn’s brother, fifteenth birthday. It was her mom, her step dad, her friend (Amy), Gary, her mom’s friend, four or five of Gary’s friends, and herself who traveled up the Finny Cumberlane mountain side. Their day was spent playing in the snow and snowboarding on the small, snow-capped mountain, but the day took a turn for the worse on their way home. “At 10:00 AM everyone met at our house in Burlington with their snowboarding gear, extra clothes, etc. We also loaded up a camp stove, pans, cups, cocoa and a pot of chile with freetos dip chips for lunch.…

Sit back, buckle up, and get ready to scream because I love roller coasters. My family and I go to Cedar Point about every month in the summer, and my dad and I go and ride everything in the park. It is just so fun! The one thing I really like about roller coasters is that there are little rides for the youth kids also. My least favorite thing is when I am not tall enough to enjoy a ride, which doesn’t really occur anymore.…

When I attended Thorton Junior High School, I was real skinny, therefore, I felt like an outsider. I was thirteen years old and wearing a size one, whenever a big gust of wind came, it nearly knocked me down. People often teased me and called me names like Olive Oyle, Wilma, or Skinny Minny. Whenever we had gym, I was scared to show my body because it was so bony and I knew people would laugh, when they laughed, I felt like an outsider.…

This past nine weeks has definitely been a roller coaster. I’ve definitely cracked down more on myself and I’ve learned a lot of things in this time period. I think it really comes down to what I did to do well, the criticism I received on subjects that need tweaking, and occurrences that withhold me from getting the one. In my qualifying events (DI, POI), I seriously tried my hardest to practice and I know that I could’ve done even better.…

The road most people in my community go down you shouldn't expect me to writing this. My family doesn't have the most money in the world and we don't have the most opportunities here. My hometown is one of the poorest in the country and many people would expect me to just quit school and get a job to support my family, but that was not the case with me. I pushed myself to achieve something greater than what others around me have done. I didn't want to fall into the stereotype that because I am part Mexican I’m lazy or just another trouble maker because I'm not that!…
