"Time to get up," my mother declared. My mother, father, and I had to be at the hospital by six A. M. At a younger age, I would always have strep throat. I even had it on my birthday! Mom and Dad asked our doctor if I should have my tonsils removed. She said, "It would probably be the best thing to do for her." I knew that my throat would hurt for a while after the surgery, but I did not think it would be as bad as it had been.
