Thought out my school life, I used many websites and newspapers to write essays. I learn many ways to take notes and see what is important for me to use. I used them to make my thesis strong and others support my ideas. I learn that writers have purpose and method to show you the subject in their point of view. The hardest thing I’ve ever went through? Let me take you back to almost three years ago to a very cold Thursday morning in January. I was sitting in history class when suddenly something very strange happened; the announcement speakers came on. To most people it would seem like it was a very typical day to day event to listen to announcements; but at my school announcements were rarely ever said. My classroom got completely silent; to the point where you could have heard a pin drop.…

The semester before my freshman year I applied to an early college high school; I knew that I was going to have more work than if I had went to the traditional high school, but I knew I could do it. At first I was doing well, but as time went on the work became more challenging and frequent eventually my grades fell and took my pride with it. I wanted to transfer to the traditional high school in my neighborhood, but changed my mind after a talk with one of my professors. She helped me to recognize that if I quit not only would I be throwing away the work that I did do, but I’d also be preventing myself from seeing what work I could do. I took that seed of information and turned it into a tree of motivation.…

The rest of the year was great to me, I finally saw the rainbow. I gained many new friends and I was/am doing fairly well in my classes. I overcame an obstacle of mine that was really large, and I am proud of myself for doing so. I finally got to see what it looks like when the clouds part. I went from being a stress mess to a straight success (maybe not success yet, but soon).…

My parents have said to work hard and do my best in school. I never understood why until I got older. The reason they told me to do my best in school was because they wanted me to think about school and my future. Both of my parents didn't get the chance to go to college. They both came to the United States looking for what most people come to the United States for ‘The American Dream’, they wanted a place where they could raise their children and find a stable job.…

High school changes people. They express themselves, become opinionated, and they start to look at the world differently as they experience things they have never encountered before. A wise Oliver Wendell Holmes said, “Man’s mind stretched to a new idea never goes back to its original dimensions.” This quote is an excellent way to describe my experience in high school.…

Arriving home after a long and monotonous day of school, I lob my backpack against my trusty chair and it collapses to its side. Conversely, I find myself wanting to do the same. What I had learned and what I had to do were a couple of the things that went through my mind as I reflected on the day. School work was something I could not have said that I found fun or interesting, however, I could also not have said that I found the work I did insignificant, right? The work in high school all seemed like preparation for college, but I was not sure if that was what I really wanted.…

One jumping jack, that is all it took to change my entire high school experience. I was in physical education class during the fall of my freshman year when it happened. I lifted my arms up, and when I lowered them I heard a pop, and felt extreme pain in my right shoulder. I went to the school nurse, and they told me that I had dislocated my shoulder. The nurses were not able to put it back in place, and I had to go to Boston Children’s Hospital.…

When I was in pre k I liked going to school so much but suddenly my mind changed when I skipped grade 1 and went to grade 2. I remember when I was in 2nd grade,I didn’t wanted to go to school. To me the hard part of the school was the students and the teachers, they were like a crow to me and I am the cat who is being chased by the crow.
