Just one BAM, and he was laid out on the floor of the Y.M.C.A. As Tray lied there crying , I was being hauled away by three camp instructors. It was late afternoon when it all started. When I woke up that morning, I didn't expect anything to go wrong.I had a normal school day, nothing unusual. After school I got dropped off at the Y.M.C.A, like normal. As I entered the Y.M.C.A, I heard a loud scream. I turned to see where the scream was coming from. As I was surveying the premises, I noticed it was coming from my little brother who was laying on the ground crying. A 7th grade bully named Tray stood over him laughing. I ran as fast as I could and punched Tray right in the face. There were only two sounds after that , me hitting Tray

In Sleeping Freshmen Never Lie by David Lubar, the scene I choose for the rewrite in another character’s point of view is the one when Vernon attacks Scott from behind while Kyle and Kelly watched. This was on page 244. I choose this scene because there is so much action and I feel I can write about this scene because so much occured. The original scene is told from Scott’s perspective. Now, the perspective I will be writing it in is Vernon’s; so, we will get his perspective.…

As a child growing up in Rhode Island, the smallest state in the Union, the idea of a vast planet brimming with civilization and culture was more like something out of a fairy tale than it was reality. So, when my father announced that we would be leaving the country to go to Scotland, the home of his and my ancestors, my world began to expand at a rapid pace. This trip could not have been timed more perfectly. The summer of 2007 marked the end of fourth grade, my first year at Saint Mary Academy Bay View.…

Journal #3(Elementary School) From the first punch to the final insult, elementary school was by far the worst experience of my life. I remember being physically assaulted all the way back in kindergarten, taking punches from two imbeciles named Anthony and Carmelo. The teacher never did anything to stop the bullying, all she would ever do is tell them they weren't being nice. I guess I shouldn’t be surprised that no one would help me; after all, it's human nature to turn the other way when confronted with a conflict.…

Pain shot through the left side of my head caused by my skull being banged into the locker. A groan escaped my throat; thoughts raced around my head somehow faster than my heart beating rapidly in my chest. I never thought I would be in such a situation. I was yanked from the locker, my body being slammed back into the cold metal again, this time my back was against it. I opened my eyes, in my peripheral vision was a boy with the build of a 30-year-old weightlifter towering above my small frame.…
