Personal Narrative: The X-Ray Machine

WHIRRR… The x-ray machine did a thorough scan on my hurting right elbow. When I saw the machine’s data, I threw up a little in my mouth. The results were not pretty as it looked like something crawled out of a dumpster and got run over. My parents had always told me to be careful, and I wished I had listened to their warnings. It was finally Friday, and it was also the start of a magnificent 3 day weekend! I exclaimed, “There is nothing in the world that can make this weekend go wrong!” I truly thought

The game room had no space to breath. It had been stuffed with all kinds of toys, games, and many other useless things. The show playing on the television was one of my favorite shows, and when the commercials rolled in, I was irate. The commercials decided to take the longest amount of time possible. As time went on, my attention span grew shorter and shorter. Eventually, my attention span died and I decided to do something. I stood up on the spinny chair I had been sitting on, and I spun it as fast as a cheetah. Then, I jumped off, elbow first, and my arm plummeted onto the smooth, hard edge of an oval-shaped wooden …show more content…
I immediately felt excruciating pain rushing from every point in my right elbow. I couldn’t stop the tears from coming, and so they streamed on down like the Rahala Waterfalls. My brother shrieked for my parents, and they rushed me to the hospital as quickly as possible for them. It turned out I had broken my right elbow, and along with that, my hopes for a stunning weekend.
After that horrific incident, I never did stunts like that which resulted in me getting majorly hurt. I trusted my parent's “words of advice” most of the time, and since then, I haven’t seriously injured myself

I stretched my and yawned, however, it wasn't much of a yawn, but rather a roar. The roar shattered the windows and made the wooden beams buckle in the surrounding walls. The pain began slowly, pricking me with its sharp needles only while doing barre in ballet once a week. I ignored it, believing it to be normal, common discomfort that would soon go away, typical thoughts of a dancer whose entire sport is centered around “good pain”. The bland, brown and beige lobby became extraordinarily familiar as I waited two hours to be examined.…

This trip could not have been timed more perfectly. The summer of 2007 marked the end of fourth grade, my first year at Saint Mary Academy Bay View.…
