Personal Narrative: The Word Traditionalist American Knights

The first thing that caught my attention when I first opened the website was the moving words. The words were saying how they are not sorry and are only committed to white interests and values. If you look at just the top part of the website you see the same words appear multiple times. The word Traditionalist American Knights appeared in three different places just on the top half of the website. It seems like they really want to get their point across using this statement. The website also has a lot of different tabs to click on. The first one I clicked was the photos tab. The pictures were what I thought they would be. Groups of white men dressed up in the white body suits with KKK flags. What shocked me about one of the photos were they …show more content…
When I clicked the store button a page automatically popped up. It was a page that said “ This is for whites only!!” It even had the slogan from ghostbusters saying who you gonna call with a black ghost crossed out instead of a white ghost. I tried to enter to see what was on the store, but it told me I needed to sign up and become a member. I did go to the signup page to see what it wants in order to become a member. I put in false information and I clicked next, but you have to submit a photo in order to proceed. I couldn't get through without adding a photo. It was kind of a downer because I did want to know what they were selling. The website also has a 24 hour Klanline if you want to contact them. I guess if you wanted to talk to them you can. The tab next to that one was called application. It's like a real application you fill out online and have certain requirements you have to meet. A lot of the requirements are just about saying you will obey their oath and have to be white. If you want to become a member you are required to pay a certain fee a month. It's $50 a person and I couldn't find what the money goes to. The website also offers a variety of Klan fliers.

Have you ever heard of heraldic language? Well, I decided to create a shield about me and my personality, based on heraldic language, just as medieval knights did. A tiger is an animal that represents me because I am not afraid to stand up for myself, I never hesitate if I desire to say something, and I couldn’t care less about what people think of me. Before I start to write about my representative symbol, I must inform you about the colors, green and gold, that portray my personality. Green delineates me since I tend to be joyous, full of hope that I will persevere in my goals, and I’m always loyal to my friends by keeping their secrets and being there for them.…
