The Tornado

I was splashing water inside the Great Wolf Lodge’s indoor water park, my Dad came up to me and told me that my family and I were going to ride the Tornado, a huge tornado looking slide. I tried to beg him to not l make me go on he tugged on me so I started following him to the Tornado. As we walked up the stairs I begged my family not to make me go but they said that I was going to have a lot of fun. As we got closer my teeth started chattering I was scared to go down the slide. When it was time my family got on a tube my teeth were still chattering.I felt a small nudge on tube, all of a sudden the tube launched and slid down the slide quickly. I could feel the wind hitting my face because we were going fast. Then the tube flew

After watching some gameplay videos for the new ps4 game Until Dawn, I was reminded of a strange term I had once heard, the butterfly effect. Upon seeing this, I decided to do some research to find out more about it. The Chaos theory more commonly called the butterfly effect summarized by Edward Lorenz is a branch of mathematics that deals with complex systems whose behaviour is highly sensitive to slight changes in conditions, so that small alterations can give rise to strikingly great consequences. With this, I thought a many life decisions that I had made, both large and small and thought of how they affected my life and how different my life would be if I had chosen to take another path. I am a Christian and with further thought, came to…

Directly after Hurricane Katrina, I visited my family in Louisiana for six months. In this short time I spent with my aunt, I witnessed more poverty and devastation than a newspaper headline could ever offer. I recall crawling through the streets of Layfette glazing silently at a child playing with her shoe, as she had no toys to play with. Walking inside a half vacated half vandalized mall reminded me of a TV western ghost town. My cousin saw I was uneasy from the disparity of the town, so she offered me to come to her day camp center to help out.…
