I thought about what I did right and wrong. I realized that I should have asked more questions the day before the test. I would often be seen as an introvert, but I learned that I needed to start speaking up for myself; rather than my parents, staff, or friends speaking on my behalf. As my high school years went on, I maintained my grades. I was taking notes, asking questions, and developing study skills; so that failure according to my standards would not occur again.…

This class was Honors Chemistry, it was extremely difficult and I tried everything I could possibly do to try to be successful in that class. I did extra homework, staying after school, and staying up remarkably late just to try to understand a concept that others seemed to fathom so easily. The feeling of failure from not doing strong in this class made me feel as if I could never understand this class. The feeling of failure for anyone is not an enjoyable feeling, it mostly can cause a stress on your life, when you know you are able to succeed. I decided to take the initiative and try as hard as I can to bring my grade up with the final exam.…

“A handful of moments I wished I could change, but I was carried away,” are the lyrics that remind a lot about myself. Growing up, and even about two years ago, I was insanely shy and did not talk much around people, friends, or family. The way I talked to people was in a timid, soft spoken way, which looking back, was awfully embarrassing. My friends and family would laugh at me because I could not talk well, and when I did talk, they acted as if I were a baby who just said its first words. With all of that nonsense going on, their idiotic response kind of made me not want to say anything anymore.…
