Personal Narrative: The Suite Life Of Roller Driver

So I started the car and braced myself for the drop on that roller coaster. I moved the car into drive because that was one thing I did learn ironically from The Suite Life of Zack and Cody a TV show I watched when I was little. I slowly pressed on the gas and felt the car's tires grab the gravel and push us forward. Fortunately for me the cabin was my home away from home so I knew these roads like the back of my hand. The next four miles went by without a hitch until the very end when we were turning onto our cabins road and I accidentally hit the gas and brake and the same time and made the tires spin out. At the time I was super embarrassed but later that night we all laughed about it and I was ok with making a mistake. A couple months later on February 19th I made my first trip to the DMV, I had just turned 15 and I was eager to receive my permit so I could drive to the mall, to Target, to Valley Fair, but of course with a legal licensed guardian over 21 sitting next to me! I walked out of the DMV with a smile from ear to ear, I had passed. I was so excited to tell all of my friends and family the news and how the test went and what to expect when they take it. …show more content…
I felt like a great driver and that I could drive anywhere without a problem and without hesitation, I could do it. I knew what to do and what not to do, I knew to always watch the other people cause that’s what will get you in an accident, I knew how to do a two lane roundabout with no problems! Driving felt like second nature to me almost like learning how to walk, it started out shaky but once I got my balance I could run, Until eventually you run too fast and your feet can't keep up and you trip. About a year later I

I tapped my fingers against the steering wheel nervously and bounced my leg for what seemed like hours before the lady finally appeared at my car’s passenger window. She attempted to open the door when I realized with complete horror that I had forgotten to unlock it. I scrambled to find the button to release the lock and became filled with dread because the test had not even started and I was already failing. To my surprise the lady opened the door with a slight chuckle that eased my nerves and calmed the shaking in my hands as I started the…

Officially, starting from that day, my life was filled with elation and happiness. I never want to forget the time I started reading Maximum Ride. Starting off my day, I woke up from bed, gulped down some chow, and went back to sitting on my more than comfortable bed, reading the book of my future dreams: “Maximum Ride.” It was necessary to read this book, for a competition, called, Battle of the Books. Continuing on, the deeper I read into the book, the more hooked into the book I was.…

Sit back, buckle up, and get ready to scream because I love roller coasters. My family and I go to Cedar Point about every month in the summer, and my dad and I go and ride everything in the park. It is just so fun! The one thing I really like about roller coasters is that there are little rides for the youth kids also. My least favorite thing is when I am not tall enough to enjoy a ride, which doesn’t really occur anymore.…

My Ride-A-long was on Tuesday, November 28th from 7:00 am to 14:00 pm with the Police Officer Morton Campbell. When I got to the police department I had to wait for Officer Campbell for an hour. I took advantage of the moment and the Officer Jose Garcia took me to a mini tour of the area. During the wait a citizen came to make a report, Officer Garcia did not use codes but asked her some questions and said it was a lost property report. She went to report that she had lost her wallet, she had forgotten it on the bus, she realized that she had lost it a day later and she waited a week to report it.…

Soon enough though, I felt like I was able to drive alone. I had mastered the art of "defensive driving"- it's a shame it took me getting into a minor accident to actually understand it, but I'm glad it was a lesson I actually learned instead of just having it go in through one ear and out the other as it had the first time. I'm now quite confident in my driving abilities, and if I'm not, I take the long way around. Better safe than sorry when it comes to…

Unmastered: Four-Wheeling Escapades in Imperfection In a society filled with individuals striving to be "flawless" it is important that we realize that not everything we do in life has to be done perfectly. Society as a whole, seems to have changed hobbies that are meant to be fun, into more of a competition than a pleasurable past time. There are people in this world that wouldn’t dare to indulge in a sport or hobby, that may actually interest them, because they aren't perfect at it and are so afraid of what the people around them will think. Something that I really enjoy in life is four wheeling.…

The alarm goes off at 8:15 AM like every morning. I roll out of bed, shower, slap on some sunscreen, put on my uniform, and head to work. Getting there, of course, is simple. I hop in the car, punch the button to start the engine, put the windows down to feel the summer breeze, plug in my phone to blast my go-to driving playlist, and I’m ready. Before I set off to lifeguard, a voice reminds me of what my grandma said when I first began driving, “I’m not afraid of you driving, I’m afraid of other drivers.”…

Eighteen My adolescent years were quite the roller coaster ride; it was an emotional phase in my life where I felt a mixture of sadness and disappointment. At fourteen I was torn away from my family and friends in Miami, and was made to live with my farther and step mother in Brooksville, Florida. At first the move affected me tremendously, but I was soon settling in, attending a new high school and making new friends. I would always say how I could not wait to be eighteen and move back to Miami.…

The road most people in my community go down you shouldn't expect me to writing this. My family doesn't have the most money in the world and we don't have the most opportunities here. My hometown is one of the poorest in the country and many people would expect me to just quit school and get a job to support my family, but that was not the case with me. I pushed myself to achieve something greater than what others around me have done.
