Lets go back to when I was in eighth grade, which seems like an eternity ago now. I was scrawny, unathletic, and had no really push or drive towards succeeding in sports. I was originally forced by my parents onto the tennis court. But soon, I found a love and passion for the game. I decided to set a difficult goal for myself: to make the high school tennis team with only a year of practice. Now for most schools in my area, this wouldn’t have been a problem, I would have been able to practice for a little bit, and still make the team.
