The teachers who join in from their school and help are invaluable, as 28 students in year 7,8 & 9, is an awful lot to supervise at once in a workshop environment.
This year we were in the Construction workshop. After the normal safety talk the first job for the students was to make a clock. From an assortment of timbers and sizes there were some amazing clocks produced, as can be seen from the pictures.
If and when the clock was finished, a wine bottle holder was next and once again, an amazing effort from the students.
They become proficient in using different finishes, even burning and scraping to get texture. Timber was biscuited together,
