Xavier woke up in the middle of the night. It was dark outside, and only the white full moon was illuminating the streets of the city. The boy looked around himself. All the colors in his room seemed blurred and he felt like they were mixing together. Even though , he was feeling an indescribable lightness, his eyes felt very heavy. It felt like an oddly realistic dream. Even in the nighttime, it was too quiet in the house. Xavier stood up from his bed to get a drink of water. As he was passing his sister’s room, he saw that her door was open. He peeked inside, but there was no one there. In a moment, he realized that all doors in the house were open, too. All street lights which usually made the street blaze in the night were off. The boy looked up at the full moon in the sky, which was shining through the clouds. “All of this could not be real,” he thought. Suddenly, Xavier’s eyes were blinded by the green light which exploded in the distance. It was huge and bright, and was gleaming like a fire. As it was spreading its rays, lighting up its surroundings, Xavier felt like it was calling for him. He was surprised that no one in the neighboring houses went out to see what happened. Once again, taken over by curiosity, Xavier decided to see what it was. He took his bicycle and started towards the light. The ride seemed to go on forever. Everytime he felt like he was approaching the source, it seemed like the light was backing away. In an hour of continuous pedaling, Xavier approached a sign. It read: Leaving Ligonier. The boy was amazed. He had never left the town alone, but he couldn't stop at this point. He now had remembered that, he saw this dream before. Several times it had scared him, but it was the first time Xavier went this far. As he continued riding, pedaling faster than ever, something inside him was saying: it is not just a
