I went to investigate when suddenly an army of ghost, shadow people attacked. Naturally, I defended myself and blocked the oncoming punch, but something wasn't right. As soon as I touched the creature time seemed to stop. I felt a darkness coming over me. I was in a trance I couldn't force myself to move, and I could feel my own thoughts being lost into space. The spot on my arm where I had touched the creatures had turned the same color as the monsters, charcoal. The color began to spread up my arm the longer I touched the things. I had to run. Using as much willpower as I could muster, I moved my arm away from the beasts. I was awakened from the trance by pain shooting up my arm. I had no time to tend to my arm. I turned and ran from the beats with them following close behind. I needed to let the others know without leading the things to them, so I came up with a plan. I would lead the things (I'm going to call them Ash people from now on for consistency) to the area of the woods across the opening in the trees from where the others are sitting. They will be on their guard and will hopefully see me run by. After that the plan gets really risky. In order to lose the Ash People, I would run through the mountain path. There is a sharp turn along the path. I will use a vine from a tree on the other side of the turn to swing around the turn. The Ash People are running too fast to make the turn and will plummet off the side of the
