Personal Narrative: The Scientist

Improved Essays
While glancing through my brother’s old music library, I saw a song that had been played over a thousand times (not overstating). It was The Scientist by Coldplay. Subsequent to listening to it the first occasion when, I was astounded and soon asked why it was so, on the grounds that the melody for all intents and purposes had no impact on me. Though, it grew on me, making me feel more enamored by it each time I aurally perceived it. My interest likewise climbed. Along these lines, I sought after to really comprehend the verses and they were absolutely impeccable.

For me, with The Scientist, the band’s lead singer, Chris Martin had perfected the art of pseudo-intellectual, profound sounding verses that actually don’t denote anything at all.

As a child growing up in Rhode Island, the smallest state in the Union, the idea of a vast planet brimming with civilization and culture was more like something out of a fairy tale than it was reality. So, when my father announced that we would be leaving the country to go to Scotland, the home of his and my ancestors, my world began to expand at a rapid pace. This trip could not have been timed more perfectly. The summer of 2007 marked the end of fourth grade, my first year at Saint Mary Academy Bay View.…

The grass grew out of the top of the sock puppet, and created a sort of hair for it. I thought it was the greatest thing ever. When I got the chance to bring it home, I put it in the window in the kitchen, so everyone could see it.…
