Always around Holiday time, you hear those signature ringing bells when you go to your nearest supermarket or shopping complex, a jolly woman or man in the bright red apron with the signature logo ringing the little bell with glee. I give whenever I can, if it’s five dollars or loose change in my back pocket. I used to think that if I put in only a couple of dimes, it looks like I don’t care, but really, it is the thought that counts.

It seems like an easy concept, but as a high school student, it can not be so simple. When you are in high school, you are surrounded by a large variety of people and they have an opinion on everything it seems. You hear nasty remarks to the left and then an insult to the right. What the Salvation Army does is show it really isn’t that hard to do the right thing or to say hi to someone in the halls.
