The best advance in lawnmowers in the last several years is the availability of key-start models, and not because it represents the epitome of laziness. People with shoulder injuries or arthritis, or seniors who have simply lost muscle strength due to aging may have given up mowing because they could no longer pull the starter cord. Key-start models put them back in business. Self-Propelled or Not? If you have a teenager available or just want the maximum amount of exercise, skip the self-propelled feature.…

On a beautiful clear morning of February the 19th, my mom picked me up from my class at the University of West Georgia, then we went to Waffle House to have a nice breakfast. We left from Waffle House, proceeding down Maple Street, and turned onto South Street and immediately onto Kenner Street. We then turned onto on the merging lane on South Park Street (US Hwy 27) heading south, we immediately halted to a full stop as vehicles moved from the middle lane into the merging lane in front of us, but at that time there were no vehicles behind us. As we waited to enter traffic, a car suddenly struck us from behind which caused the car to jerk violently forward, causing my mother’s chest to hit the steering wheel, and our heads and bodies to whip forward and then back.…

My Ride-A-long was on Tuesday, November 28th from 7:00 am to 14:00 pm with the Police Officer Morton Campbell. When I got to the police department I had to wait for Officer Campbell for an hour. I took advantage of the moment and the Officer Jose Garcia took me to a mini tour of the area. During the wait a citizen came to make a report, Officer Garcia did not use codes but asked her some questions and said it was a lost property report. She went to report that she had lost her wallet, she had forgotten it on the bus, she realized that she had lost it a day later and she waited a week to report it.…

It was his first day of school, he texted me through out the day, basically saying she was annoying and such a goody two shoes, in which she was. He said how her sister Bianca was all over him and over Xavier too. So he texted me the address of the cabin, and I went for a drive with a shotgun in the backseat of my Tahoe. Is it the right thing to do? Maybe not.…

After five hours under Mrs. Gonzalez’s 1997 Plymouth, my hands were so dirty I had to wash them ten times just to see my fingernails again. She was a familiar face around the shop, given that neighborhood thieves had routinely targeted her car. This time, though, they had gone too far. Someone had crawled underneath the car and cut out the valuable catalytic converter, and she couldn’t afford a replacement. When I looked at her and said, “That’ll be $563,” her face turned pale.…

One problem with my car is that it looks terrible. The once-shiny paint is now dull and bleached from road salt, there are patches of rust around the wheel wells and fenders. There is a dent in the passenger door that someone left while I was grocery shopping last year, and ever since another student hit my car in the school parking lot, the trunk latch has not worked, and I have had to tie it down with a cord. Furthermore, the interior of my car is no better than the exterior. The carpet is stained from years of carrying around two kids and a dog, and the upholstery is torn in several places.…

My first car was something that I greatly was looking forward to getting as a child and my interest in getting one grew, as the days got closer to my sixteenth birthday. The first car I owned was a Automatic Black 2004 Ford f-150 truck, which I discovered on a website called Craigslist. It was priced at five thousand nine hundred dollars with only eighty-four thousand miles on it, which in my case was great considering that I could only afford a seven thousand dollar car. The truck came with all manual locks and windows and also had a small amount of hail damage that could really only be seen at a certain angle. But even with reasonable price on the truck I still attempted to negotiate for an even lower price to further my luck.…
