Personal Narrative: The Ring Bearer

The long days and nights riding to Bree started molding into each other so I didn’t have the best idea about how long it has been. I looked up at the stormy night sky dark with clouds filled with rain and thunder that blocked out the light from the stars and the moon. Lightning could be seen in the distance zapping at the ground. I made my horse go faster so we could get to Bree sooner. It was about twenty miles away from where we were. After a loud clap of thunder shook the ground, rain started to pour. I could feel it soak through the front of my clothing. My black cape flew out behind me as I ordered my horse to gallop faster. I heard a screech in the distance I knew what I had feared came true they found him. The Ring Bearer. After another eleven minutes and twenty miles I reached the outskirts of the old town.
I knocked at the front gate the rain dripping down my hood onto my concealed face. My cloak covered my body leaving my glove covered hands, which held the reigns to my horse.

“Who goes there?” the old gatekeeper asked.

“Dark Huntress,” I said, knowing he would know who I was.
