If it wasn’t for this plane having a small, dirty, and old jeep sitting in it collecting dust for what seemed to be years maybe it would not seem so terrifying. However all the money I had saved went into this horrifying plane ride, and my “room” on this island of dreams. After take off it was hours until I felt some major turbulence and then BANG! The plane’s cargo bay door flew open and started to suck everything in the bay out into the open air. I slipped and slid, but managed to grab onto the jeep and then I was falling, so close to hit the ground…. Where am I? The room seems so dark and stretching to …show more content…

Within an hour of flying through space I fell asleep to only wake up to the door opening and a man asked me
“My name is Dean, do you know who you are?”

Because of risky flight conditions, a plane heading from Atlanta, Georgia to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in July, 2008 almost crashed during its landing. For many passengers, including seven year old Blake Hoffmaster and his family, the experience was traumatizing. Hoffmaster, now a freshman in high school, recalls the event, remembering that the plane was flying through a thunderstorm, and the first signs of a problem was turbulence, then the plane dropped 400 feet in two seconds when attempting to land. As he was young at the time and did not understand what exactly was happening, Hoffmaster thought the bumpy ride and sudden plunge was “cool”. The ride had been smooth up until that point.…

I shakily grasped the wooden frame in one hand and slowly spun the wheels with the other. Carefully, I set the car on the floor, balancing the trigger on the axle. One microscopic movement would send the whole vehicle racing down the hallway; hopefully. I slowly lifted up the unsharpened pencil lying next to me. Holding my arm completely rigid I just barely flicked the trigger so it slid slightly to the left.…
