Although we, as residents of Winnipeg, Manitoba, are not often impacted by these horrible attacks, many women, men and children suffer and die every day are. Attacks are not only killings, but civilians are also taken from their homes and families, and tortured in ways we cannot even imagine. One of the biggest, and most impacting acts of terrorism was the 9/11 attack in 2001, on the Twin Towers in New York. The act consisted of four planes that belonged to the Islamic terrorist group known as al-Qaeda, and were suicide attacks used to target symbolic US landmarks. One of the newest groups producing many deadly attacks is Isis. According to The Onion news article, this group was formed in a garage by a college drop-out named Abu Musab al- Zarqawi. My mom is also a psycologist, so I also find the interest from her. A small part of me is interested in being a trauma sugeon because things like that dont really bother me, but I dont know if Im ready for that much commitment of very long schooling, and crazy work hours. In my spare time, I would
