I am no stranger to paths, as I embark on them each and every day with my wearer. He has taken me on breath-taking adventures and we have had our fair share of stirring moments. We have been through rough times in sports, starting with basketball in the first grade, all the way up to sophomore year. Tears have trickled down on me multiple times, whether my wearer was cut from the team or was told he was not strong enough to play. These moments have shaped who my wearer is today. Although those moments are unforgettable and engrained in our minds until the end, the elation and minimal moments of excitement I receive from my wearer will stay with me forever.
After a month of snow continually clogging up in the bottom of me, suddenly it was hot and humid and there was no snow to be seen. It was way too early for this weather here in Michigan. A river that spreads for miles, disconnecting the city from the campus. It goes from a enormous fast-pace city to a calm campus in a matter of a few steps over a bridge. It was as if the campus was a separate entity from the rest of the city. Palm trees spread across the campus, students canoeing and kayaking down the river, and even students diving and plunging for a volleyball on a small sand court located right outside their dorm.
