Every Life Matters I really only started understanding the meaning of abortion once one of my mom’s friends had one. Before that I had very little knowledge about abortion. My parents have always taught me to stand by what I believe and that others may have different beliefs. They always told me that I would meet people that would disagree with me and what I believe not only when it came to these kind of topics but many other things as well. Being told that, they told me to always respect people’s beliefs and their points of view because everyone has the right to stand by what they believe, just like I do.…
“The American Dream is still alive out there, and hard work will get you there,” said Bill Rancic. “You don’t necessarily need to have an Ivy League education or to have millions of dollar startup money. It can be done with an idea, hard work and determination”. That quote defines my high school journey. All my life consisted of education, education, and education.…
The Game of Life was a very life experience game. It taught me different life choices. For example one of the choices was to stay on the life path or pay so much for a night class. That could’ve been a win- win situation. If you would’ve changed your career you could’ve made more or made less.…

When I was 14, I attended a church camp in the summer. This was not my usual church. It was named The Center for Spiritual Living, which meant that they accepted almost anything that was positive for the terms of religious belief. However, it was with a heavy lean towards Christianity, with a dash of various religious practice. Anyways, I was part of the teen group there for obvious reasons.…
Even if you don’t graduate, a good example of that is Steve Jobs. He dropped out of college but attended some classes that interested him. With these classes he was able to start the Apple company as a college drop-out. Now I’m not saying drop out of college, if you want a strong, high grade job like a computer designer, even a video game designer as a lot of people want to be. THAT, takes college, animation takes college, architecture takes college.…

Many successful people come with college backgrounds. The one student who turned down the deal preferred to stay in college because that was her best personal choice. It was late one friday night, I was on my way home from my boyfriend's house in Amenia to my house in Ancram. I had done this drive a thousand times and never had an issue. I was doing my usual speed of 60 on all the roads so i could make it home in my normal 20 minutes when it was a typical 35 minute drive. Than my 20 minute drive turned into a trip to the emergency room, a totaled car, and some very unhappy parents. My typical drive changed when I decided to check my snapchat on a curvy back road while doing 60 mph when I should have been doing 30.…
A Blossoming of the Soul I feel uneasy about getting to my innermost thoughts. See, every time I go “deep”, it gets dark. I suppose that makes sense, that the deeper you go the less light can reach, but it exposes a part of me that is rarely seen, by both others and myself. With that said, I really do have the mindset of an optimist, along with the independence and individuality that comes with thinking positive. This outside persona and the deep, dark one inside create a great deal of confusion, as the contradictions between the two do not seem like they can coexist.…
Self the struggle of one's’ life. As a young child I often had my water shut off much like every unity my grandmother didn't cover for my mother and stepdad. With people coming to my house at weird hours parties all throughout the house. I realized that my mom and stepdad were criminals doing very illegal things with my sister and my upstairs trying to sleep. At that moment I knew that I wanted better something that was right moral even.…
I have never really known the true meaning of life. When I was younger I was reckless, so reckless that I wasn't afraid of anything. Breaking bones? I’d done it. I wasn't aware of how precious life was, I didn't care.…
It was somebody from the village who told me about his illness, that he was undergoing medical treatment in the cancer hospital. I remembered the last time I had seen him, about three years ago at a festival. He was carrying his newborn daughter in his arms, and it seemed as if she was the most precious possession that he had. But I could not believe it. I just couldn’t.…
