As we get through OTA's and begin yet another preseason in Tampa Bay, we believe we have the right guys in place on defense. With the acquisitions of Vinny Curry, J.P.P., Mitch Unrein, and Beau Allen added to the defensive line, it adds the depth we have not had in a long time! The line will consist of Gerald McCoy and Vita Vea mainly at the DT position, with Unrein and Allen likely as reserves, but those two, just might end up playing a bigger role than anyone thinks!…

This team showed great adversity yesterday. Now I know this game should not have been as close as it was and that needs to be fixed. But for this young Buccaneers team to come out and surrender a two score lead and still overcome adversity is an impressive feat and shows growth with this Bucs team. So many times in the past, we have watched our Bucs slowly self destruct and lose big leads and never get them back. Honestly, I’ll come right out and admit that I have never been the Detroit Lion’s number one fan, or any football fan for that matter. Sure, I had technically gone to each of the homecoming games both years in high school, but only for the sole excuse of being able to put some red war paint on my face and attempt to catch up with some friends. The only exposure I had to the sport was walking through the doors of Phase Three during cross country season. Day after day, I was forced to push through groups of teenage guys reeking with a putrid stench of dried sweat, rotting eggs, and grass stains; the smell in itself was enough to make my eyes water.…

I started playing baseball when I was 7 years old and at that time I was actually playing T-Ball. For awhile I played baseball for a place called Twin City. While I was at Twin City I had mostly played the second base position. Twin City was an alright organization because they didn't have players with the best attitudes. Those players with not so good attitudes affected our teams ability to win.…

Football pushed students to excel and become self disciplined. Children learn how to practice on their own and tricks to improve. Children also are more respectful of adults because of the mentality of the coach to athlete relationship. Ultimately, football pushed young people to do better in school, become more self disciplined, and more well-rounded people, all of which will help them later in life.
