It was a warm summer morning and I was getting ready to go back to school when my mom called down from the kitchen, “Hey John before you go grab some breakfast and don’t forget your lunch.” I grabbed my lunch, a breakfast burrito, and headed out the door.
On my way to school I saw a really tall kid walking too, I got nervous. I had never seen this kid before, but now I saw him picking on the other kids. He was pushing them around. I was afraid he was going to pick on me because I am small. I hope I will grow when I got older, but for now I am small. I made it to school safely, I really have no idea how that happened. When I got to school I found out that the new kid, or bully as I saw him, was in my class for 1st period and his name was Josh. History was not my favorite class, and having Josh in here only made it worse. Josh ended up sitting in the front of

“Welcome to sixth grade. We do have new student to the area. We are going to get to know Josh, Josh Would you come up and introduce yourself?”

I like Pac-Man, maybe we could be friends after all. Luckily nothing else happened in first period. I been worried for nothing.
Josh was in three of my classes including History. He was also in my Math and Science classes. I was having a great day because his seat was not next to me in any of the classes. In between classes I could still see him pushing kids around in the hall, but in class he was quiet. I thought that was weird because he was just pushing kids around and not

As a student growing up, have you ever had that one classmate that was obnoxiously annoying and loud during a lesson? Someone who sucked his teeth or rolled his eyes each time a teacher put up a homework assignment on the board. Someone who walked in late to class, bobbing his head, singing or rapping the lyrics to a song with headphones in his ear. Someone who would continuously make fun of other students and need constant redirection every 5 minutes. I have.…

I woke with a start at the obnoxious noise coming from my alarm. It was 9:00 a.m. on a Thursday, in the middle of the summer. Today, I was going to my favorite place in the world: the Tulsa State Fair. I dragged myself down the creaking stairs and into the family room, where I turned on the television. I then ate a bowl of cocoa puffs and went back upstairs to prepare myself for the day.…

Around halfway through the year, classes became unbearable with the constant, dehumanizing schoolwork. Every assignment tugged and cracked any remaining portion of uniqueness I had left. I felt that the curriculum was intentionally designed to ready us to be a factory worked with a company ID instead of a name, just like the A.T. PERSONAS forced down our throats. Since he subjected me to infernal besiegement on a daily basis, I thought I should pull a prank on my homeroom officer. Every day he would use his superfluous title as ‘officer’ to subject us to his whims, just to inflate his pompous ego.…
