Personal Narrative: The New Kid

Improved Essays
My mother always said, “If you want it, you can have it”, and I just loved that! I was used to getting everything I wanted. I was very liked in school, and I always won most popular in the yearbook. I had tons of friends, and my life was going great until the “new kid” came to Cumming, Georgia.

It was August, summer was almost over, you could almost feel the grieving of all the kids waiting mournfully to go back to school. I asked, “Mom, could we have one last pool party before the new school year starts?” “Why of course you can, Henry” she replied. This was the response I was expecting.
“Alright, I will start calling all the cool kids from school.” I went up to my room and started calling a bunch of people.
Blake, Blaine, Parker, Julian, Greg, Emmett, Austin, and Miles could all come. I knew they would because the last time I went to the Florida State game with Austin, and he was really eager to come. Also, last time I hung out with Parker I gave him a Xbox game I didn't play that often and he was really excited. I decided to call Brooks, I hadn't seen him in a while.

“Ummm sure, but only if I could bring my friend Jake. He is new to the area and I want to make him feel welcome.” He said rather convincingly.
“Ok, I said. See you

I stood looking through the dirty windows of the train station. The smell of trashcans and wet wood lingered in the dusty air of the old building. I tried to wait outside for her, but was quickly stopped by one of the conductors, he made sure to inform me that I couldn’t be on the platform until the train came to a complete stop. I was there to pick up a girl that I would meet for the first time. I never would have thought that my little ghost hunting zine could make it over three hundred miles, and spark the interest of a stranger.…

That is where all my problems started; something started to grow inside of me like an embryo of a new unborn child. Slowly but surely I sank into a dark abyss of depression.…
