Personal Narrative: The New Deal

It’s the time of my birthday again, and my family has been slowly, but surely leaving the poverty behind. Thanks to Mr. Roosevelt implementing The New Deal and it’s second coming that recently has just come. The confidence of the nation had never had better hopes for the country's rising. Jobs had opened up even more, and even my brother Samuel found a job. The second coming, people called The Second Deal, which implemented non competitive work, such as building of post offices, parks, bridges, schools and roads. Better wages and treatment of workers had also been provided through the Works Progress Administration. Along with better working conditions, the Social Security Act had been added to bring pensions to those elders and unemployed.
