Personal Narrative: The Movie Theater

As more things around him started spinning out of control, all he could do for the moment was becoming a spectator in his own life. His mother took everything in stride, but his father took every opportunity to keep them all grounded from what he believed were the trappings of the good life. It seemed funny to him that the only person he actually made his effort to insure this remained true was for him and he wanted to end his relationship with Anna. That was always a very short conversation whenever his father would bring out his rigorous stick and start beating the common sense in his unknowing son. The backorders will have my suppliers sucking wind for a month and people are even asking if they could buy the posters. The one hour printing stores in all the malls are closed for a bit to print the posters and scatter them around the mall for sale. The profit is ridiculous. Just make sure the little chick doesn’t do any shopping, during Christmas season or someone is going to get killed.” “Why is it OK for Lucy being a spokes model for the mall, then when I wanted to do it, mother?” Elena asked harshly. “Father thought it was a good idea after I did that spread for your stores and sales went

Trudy Bush’s review of the book was witty and enlightening because Bush never attempts to flee from Olive’s colorful character, as tempting as it may be. Bush embraces Olive entirely, giving a glimpse into her gloomy, and at times loving nature while coming to terms with growing old.…
