Personal Narrative: The Majestic

The Majestic I have been in many situations where I have been forced to make hard decisions. In elementary school, my best friend was being bullied. I thought about all the things I was going to tell his bully, but when he told me who it was, I could not do it. It was one of the coolest girls in our school and I did nothing to stop her from hurting my closest friend. I wanted the girl to like me because being cool in elementary school is all there is to life. I jeopardized my friend’s feelings for my reputation. I thought that growing up would turn me into a stronger person, but in eighth grade I was being bullied. Again, it was by one of the most popular girls in school. Instead of standing up for myself, I just acted like I did not

The Hunt I am all warm in my camo attire with my bow hugging the tree behind me. I watch as sky comes to life and leaves crunch as the dew falls on them. My father sitting at my right side, dozing, his head bobbing every once in awhile. I hear the faint noise of something crunching and look above me to see a squirrel perched on a small branch. I smile and nod my head letting out a faint chuckle.…

My experiences over the last six years living in NYC have shaped me into the approachable and compassionate person I am today. I have been immersed in a melting pot with many different culturally and economically diverse populations. These unique experiences have broadened my horizons and allowed me to gain valuable communication skills and the ability to connect with people from all walks of life. I searched out opportunities to give back and help the people in my community both in volunteering in hospitals, educating high school students, and interning in private practices. I even traveled with the organization Medlife, setting up a medical clinic to provide basic medical care and education to people in the poor and underserved communities surrounding Lima, Peru.…

The Awakening Challenging, demanding, dynamic, and unpredictable were all words that describe Dr. Powell, my Sophomore English teacher. Her rigorous teaching style left me with unrelenting anxiety. I feared that I would not meet my own high expectations in her class. Eventually, the fear that consumed me dispelled; I became used to her unpredictable style and started to feed off of and crave the challenge her class provided. She unearthed a side of me I never knew I possessed.…

To the Hero Ever since I was a little boy, I’ve been a huge fan of comic book superheroes. Anybody that knows me could tell you that. MY SIDE OF THE MOUNTAIN When I was a little kid, if we got in bed quickly, my mom would read my brothers and I a part of a book as we went to bed. I am an outside person I have been since I could remember, when I would go outside you would usually find me in the pool or over in the Lot and in the Creek. The creek was and still is really fun, walking up and down finding cool stuff and making stick weapons and pretending to fight in the army. The Creek was fun, but it was also scary at night when you could hear stuff moving, but you couldn 't see it, but despite the scariness of the Creek I ended up having some of the best times there when I was a kid. The best well, maybe not the best, but the most memorable time was the time where me, my dad, and my brother (which I didn 't want to come) went to the creek and we were going to walk to the “all the way”. The “all the way” was the point…
