The Madoff Scandal
At one point in time owning the last name of Madoff was a very powerful and respected title, on a cold winter’s day that all changed. When my Father Bernie Madoff came and confessed to my brother and me about a multibillion scandal he has been running since the early 1990’s it changed everything. This grand truth swept the legs from under me. I remembered that it came as such a blow that I had to sit down. I could not even process the magnitude of what he had just told me. The next day this unforgivable truth was breaking news. It took several days for the realization of what this meant to settle in. My father the world renowned Wall Street Broker was brought to trail and plead guilty to all charges in March of 2009. From the moment he confessed to his wrong doing that was the moment my life was over. A massive investigation was launched to see just how deep this schemed was settled in. They investigated everyone who had ever done business with Madoff. They especially investigated my brother and me. We work for our father for in his business as traders. For all we knew this business we worked for was an all American business that

I started looking at the positives min my life, my beautiful wife who has stuck with me through this horrible event, and my two beautiful children they are the light of my life. We started making plans for the future. We had this plan to change our last name from Madoff to Morgan in order to have a fresh start on life. In the hope that all the negatives would disappear once the last name was no longer in our life. After long talks with my grand wife hope started to trickle back into our lives. The funny thing about hope is it is always there but is often over looked, no matter how hard you try to keep the hope in view life will always make you lose sight of
