In soccer every player must have a special ability like strength, speed, passing or dribbling, unfortunately I did not know what ability I had. So, when I was six I tried out for my local youth soccer academy. Believing I was pretty good for my age, but I came to realize that I was wrong. It turned out that the other kids trying out had much more talent than I did, and all I was doing was just going up and down chasing the ball. I was struggling and it got to the point where I just gave up and hoped the scrimmage ended soon. I actually felt ready to play and I felt I was at a level where I fit in with the rest of the players and that they would not find it easy to do circles around me. When I got to the field I saw that I was playing against different players, I got a little scared, but, then I took a deep breath and just forgot about it.When the referee blew the whistle, I showed everything I learned the whole year I was practicing, my passing was stupendous, my defending was precise, I was basically playing out of my skin. At one point of the game, I sent a pass to the striker, but when he tried to take the shot he hit the post and the ball bounce out. Eventually that same person does get a goal that seals the victory for us. Then finally, after 90 minutes. the ref blows the whistle to end the game. Feeling great, I run to my parents and asked them that if I did well, they were pleased and told me how happy they were for me. A few minutes a coach comes to my parents and I, and explains how well did and that they wanted me on the team. When I heard those words come out his mouth, I just thought about the hard work I had to do to get me there, and that hard work finally paid
