I was playing my last game for the season for February 2015. Fortunately we – the Elephants won the game. I went to the basement, where everybody was gathered. All the basketball players got their pictures and after they got their upward basketballs. Then we got to eat a snack and everybody left. As I walked down the crumbled sidewalk, I started to dribble the ball that they gave me. “Stop dribbling the ball, you’re going to drop it in the road” demandingly said my Wendy who is my mom. But I kept bouncing the ball without a care in the world. And what do ya know… *splash* I felt the freezing cold water on my skin as the ball tripped me and I fell into the water like there was no tomorrow. Soaking wet I saw this car going about 30 mph. After about five minutes I was ready to play again. We ended winning 109 to 106 in three over times. People stormed the court in celebration but security quickly stepped in and cleared the massive crowd. We shook hands with the opposing team and made our way to the locker room. “Alright now Skin, I need you to be my leadoff here and get a rally going!” I do not respond, because I obviously know how important this one at bat is for the team and for myself. One thing coach loves doing, making sure I know how much I am accountable for. There is no comment to explain to me of how dependent I am on these upcoming moments for the team, so don’t make it any worse. To start off and to have the power to set the tone of the whole inning.…

Many authors followed, and their visionary imaginations guided me to conceive of worlds beyond the scope of what was, to -what might be. Passive diversions, like reading books, and watching television allowed me to experience a reality beyond my conscious perception……
