The court was quiet, we lacked motivation but maintained a lead for most of the match but only by a point or two. It felt like we put in as much energy as needed to pull off a win. But with that said, we still had some great moments in the court. Claire Caldera and Allie Eveleth have gotten stronger in their attacks. Janae Roberson has begun to be a forceful blocker in the middle and our setters, Grace and Julian, continue to push our offense to be better with each match.…

As the current coaching staff knew, we were struggling without the guidance of our previous coach: every meet was like going into enemy territory, with little hometown crowd support. When our new Coach reminded us that we were unified and could stand with one another knowing that we’d triumph, we were rejuvenated. Pop Up I've played baseball as long as I can remember, but somehow, as a junior in highschool, my swing was still consistently inconsistent. You'd think that the many years of swinging a bat over and over and all the hundreds of baseball movies would have rubbed off on me, but you would be wrong. Well not completely wrong, I did learn a few pointers on how to get my timing down, and I could run decently fast, but I wasn't going to be drafted into the MLB or even scouted for a college team. Last summer, my VFW summer team wasn't anything special; we had a few solid players, but also some players, like me, were struggling to make solid contact with the baseball.…

I am contacting you regarding the Walled Lake Central Women’s varsity basketball team. Three years ago when Robert Schopf was put in the position as head coach, the program decided to give him another chance even though he was terminated in the past. His inappropriate actions have not only appeared during the regular season, but also during summer league. During one summer he made unnecessary comments, some exemplifying prejudice, towards his players. For example, he told Peyton Brikho to stop her “Chaldean attitude” before putting her into the game.…

Coach Carter, this movie changed my life and opened my eyes into the macro perspective in how the film displays positive and negative changes in social and technological changes. I will convey how Coach Carter transformed many uneducated, poor, unpassionate high school basketball losers into not only winners, but passionate educated men of society. Coach Carter takes over as head basketball coach at Richmond high school, where he graduated and was the all-time leading scorer and assist maker. The players of Richmond are unpassionate, lazy, vulgar and undisciplined. The Richmond Oilers just finished the season with the worst record in school history and decisions to possible shut down the program were in question.…
