Personal Narrative-The Kingston Prison

Superior Essays
Here I am behind bars, vulnerable and desperate for help. It has been exactly a year now since I’ve confessed to the police about the murder that me, Oliver Smith, the 18 year old man, committed with the help of my friend, Liam Allen. I am now in The Kingston Prison serving a 25 year sentence for 1st degree murder.
It all began on the first day of school when Liam and I entered our grade 12 biology class for the first time. We were not smart, but I was famous for captaining the school soccer team every year and Liam was famous because he was very rich for his dad was the CEO of many companies. There came a new kid in our class from Germany named Derek Muller. He was about 6 feet tall, built and very good looking from a girl's perspective.

About an hour into trick or treating, I told Derek that there are many houses that give out amazing candies across the forest. Derek agreed to go to the forest with us. The forest was abandoned and dark, when we got there. It was so dark that I could take my axe out of my bag without Derek seeing it and that's exactly what I did.
“Are you sure there are any houses across?’’ Derek said nervously.
“Trust me, the houses offer the biggest varieties of chocolates and candies!!” I replied to Derek, determined to kill him. Liam had an intense conversation going on with Derek in the forest when I slowed down behind them, holding on to my axe. Liam was acting like he paid attention to Derek but really, he hated him as much as I did and is just waiting until I make my move. When the talk got deep, I finally made the one million dollar move; I took my axe and beheaded Derek. It felt amazing and I was relieved! Both parts of his body were on the ground draining of blood when Liam and I jumped for joy as a result to be Derek Muller's death. About 5 minutes later, when we were too tired to celebrate anymore, We had no idea what to do. "Now what should we do with the body" I told Liam.
"We run back without anyone seeing us." Liam answered without any

Then we quickly we tried to think of how we could get away from them. Dylan found a rock on the ground and he threw it in their direction to scare them, but that didn't work, so, we hid for another half hour waiting, watching, and hoping that they weren't going to come beat us up. There’s a little slice of Heaven in Marshall, Texas, where the sun shines through the pines and the sound of cicadas serenade you throughout your afternoon and the lake shines like a plate of polished silver in the early morning sun. When I first came to Camp Fern, I was on my own. Everyone else had known each other for at least two years, so I was the odd one out. In my cabin there was the usual sort. There was the popular one, the attention seeker, the joker, and the one you love to hate.…

The pain began slowly, pricking me with its sharp needles only while doing barre in ballet once a week. I ignored it, believing it to be normal, common discomfort that would soon go away, typical thoughts of a dancer whose entire sport is centered around “good pain”. Six months later, it had escalated to the degree that every step I took felt like an arrow to my knee. Dancing had become impossible, and it was determined that I should be taken to the orthopedist. The bland, brown and beige lobby became extraordinarily familiar as I waited two hours to be examined.…

At a younger age, I would say I believed that I can only trust myself and my mother, this is because as a little kid my mom would always tell me that there are bad people in the world and that giving them any information about anything can be very harmful. But as I grew up and realized what was actually happening in my country I knew there were millions of others that were suffering against the “bad people” and we could only do something about it if the whole community came together to help. It was at that time when I was about 25, when I started to put some effort into trying to establish more just conditions within my country especially after the implication of extremely high food prices. This is when I started my first strike involving my…
