That fear keeps coming back. Before the commencement of the school year, I had gotten myself on the JV Soccer team. I was delighted, we had been winning games and I had been playing seventy-five minutes a game as a starter. School had just commenced and we were still dominating other teams, except Marquette. They had killed us a couple days before school in a one to five loss, But after the first week of school, we had another shot at them in the Arrowhead tournament. It was a long and hard-fought game and we held them to zero to zero. We went on to lose the game in a Penalty shootout (three to four) and later went on to culminate the tournament in third. I had my personal record for blocks and hits against a team that I was so nervous for. As I played my front row rotation and was going to sub out for someone to come in and serve for me , my coach informed me that I would be serving. Alpena had 18 points, and TC West had somewhere extremely close to that.…

My mom, sisters, and I moved every two years and in one of the elementary schools I went to I had my first soccer ball incident that damaged my back. I told my old doctor about it last year and she suggested a x-ray. I shouldn’t have waited so long for me to tell my doctor about what had happened in elementary and that it’s affecting my everyday life from waking up, to carrying heavy books, wearing a backpack, or stomping my way upstairs. I was at Briar Glen Elementary in Glen Ellyn, Illinois and it was recess, it was a dim, sunny day and I was in the wet grass soccer field with a bunch of noisy kids with me.…
