Personal Narrative: The Hudson Park Estates Pool

Decent Essays
The Hudson Park Estates pool has been one of the best parts of my move to Hudson. Before here, I never knew my neighbors, but here I not only have friends, but also teammates and coworkers. The pool is a vibrant community and I’ve been lucky enough to be a part of it. Joining the swim team was a scary step for me to take, but I ended up befriending some amazing people, many of which I ended up working alongside during high school as lifeguards. Everyone here is made to feel welcome and it’s been such a life-changing

On the above date and time I responded to 5142 Bay Boulevard, reference an unresponsive subject. Dispatch advised me while en-route that there was a male caller who advised that his wife was unresponsive inside of the residence. I was the first to arrive on scene at the residence. Ever since I was a baby, I traveled to Salter's Point, South Dartmouth in the summer with my immediate and extended family. Summer after summer, my family and I would return to this place and spend our summers in this small community; sailing, swimming, golfing, playing tennis, and spending precious time with one another. Salter's Point is my most favorite place in the world. Not only is it a restful and (fun) break from my usual routine at home, but it is a time that I get to spend with my family - which seems to be so rare in this day and age. Not only do I have an amazing place to spend time with my family, but after going to Salter's for every summer of my life, I have been lucky enough to be a part of a community that includes other…

Hurriedly, I buckled my seatbelt, placed in my keys in the ignition, and adjusted my rear view mirror. It was then, I caught a glimpse of the Victorian mansion across the street. I had almost forgotten about the arrangement I had grudgingly accepted to help clean the attic. But after a quick scan of my surroundings, I quickly realized the vicinity was absent of any dump truck. So maybe they forgot, I shrugged, hoping this piece of logic would justify my actions.…

I spent over twenty-three years as an employee of McNary Golf Club. In that time there were a lot of ups and until a few years ago, only a few downs. In the last few years I learned some very discouraging lessons about loyalty and that it was not a two way street. With the help of of a handful of classes I took at George Fox University in the Adult Degree Program, I was able to dig deep and make one of the most difficult decisions of my life; to leave the only job I have known my entire adult life.…
