Personal Narrative: The Hiccups

With the revelation my excitement built, all the information I had spent gathering for the past few months making a complete picture. The time it involved was completely worth it, and those next few minutes seemed to be the happiest in my short life. As time went though, the excitement began to decrease with the mystery now solved, a new emotion sprung up and accompanying it was the question: what would I do now?
As a child one of the biggest mysteries to me was the hiccups, specifically where they came from. Then, there was no Google to ask my question to. Alone in my quest, I began to examine the hiccups. It was a pretty passive investigation to be honest but I never forgot about it. When I got the hiccups, I would analyse the conditions and mentally note them – maybe I had just been swimming, a window was open at night or I wasn’t wearing my jersey. After finding the answer I clearly remember beginning to look obsessively for a new investigation, it seemed that without something there to solve and take up my extra time, my life had become dull. So I used the observation skills I had learnt to look for new mysteries in my world.
The need to answer questions continued as I grew and I found so many unsolved problems that needed to be fixed.
