I've always had a strong passion for hair design ever since I can remember. As a child, I would find ways to curl hair since I wasn't aloud to use hot tools yet. I would take a can of hair spray, coloured pencils, and wrap my cousin's hair around the pencils, spraying her hair with hair spray to create curls. I was always doing everyone's hair, even my Dad's. When I was little, I would also lay out some tin foil, take conditioner, break open markers, and add everything together to create a mixture for colouring

When I was younger, I remember the first time my mother taught me how to braid hair. I was so intrigued by braids and the way they looked that I wanted her to show me how to do it on my own. She began to show me while doing my younger sister’s hair. The way she described it while she was doing each action seemed so seamless and flowed perfectly as each 3 parts of hair intertwined and weaved in and out so graciously. As I began my hands-on approach for the first time, it seemed so natural to me and I was successful the first try.…
