I can remember it like it was yesterday. My kids and I will forever be scarred. I was making dinner with my daughter and everything was completely fine. It was “The Great Depression” and we were in the middle of a drought. My daughter sat down in the chair across the window and looked outside. All of a sudden she screamed and ran over to me. I asked her what happened, but she didn’t say anything. All she did was point at the window. So, I walked over to the window and looked outside. And that’s when I saw it. A huge black cloud of dust over a mile high and it was rushing toward our house. I yelled to my husband and son who were upstairs to take cover.
