Don’t give case you're just laying yourself down and not going to be able to achieve your goals if you give so don’t be quiet. To case you won’t achieve nothing but the goal of quitting. I have heard this quote spoken at least once in some way by all of my coaches. This aphorism means that if you want to win/succeed at something, then you can never give up, you must give 100% all the time and, if you do give up then you will end up failing. One of the most memorable times that I have heard this quote was during the same soccer game in the previous example, during senior night. It was halftime and we were losing by a couple of goals at this point.…

Hi Quit Buddy, I understand exactly how you feel in regards to needing more time alone and socializing less. I enjoy the solitude of my home right now, as I experience the magnitude of my smoking addiction for the first time in my life. I am just lucky that I have been able to take the time off from work to undergo this major life altering change. It has been hard on me both physically and mentally, as you are well aware of yourself. I personally feel best socializing on this forum with people who understand what I am going through, especially since all my friends and family who live nearby are non-smokers.…

The B-Teams game started and I was on the field for kick return and I got the ball and everything just slowed down and I took advantage of this so I took the ball and ran straight up the sidelines for a touchdown! Looking back, there were a few other people close to me, but this helped bring our team out of our our losing streak back into our winning streak, but the game wasn't over, two quarters remained left in the B game, and this was just the start of the game that I will look back on and say this was the game that started it all.…

Then I saw the ball leave the quarterback's arm arm and it was coming right at me. I leaped up in the air and came down with the interception. I showed my coaches what I could do and are now in the starting rotation at corner. This was a big accomplishment for me and made my senior year everything I wanted it to be. My attitude of a positive thinking and only seeing myself get better at the position, helped me earn this.…

The Lesson in Quitting For the past 7 years of my life, swimming has played a huge role. Growing up, I had always enjoyed being in the water, and was one of the odd kids that genuinely enjoyed swimming lessons, no bribes required (thinking about it, I wish I had some of those kids in the lessons I teach now). Overtime, it began to feel less like a passion and more like an obligation; something I had committed to that was too late to stop. I was afraid to quit, afraid to disappoint, and trying to be dedicated to a sport I had lost interest in made me start to hate it. This year, I finally decided to drop the sport, and am now embracing the huge change it has had in my life.…

With such a motivation, I was very receptive to this course, and what I learned so far widely exceeded my expectations.…
