Football game

It was the third game of the season. We were playing Zeeland on the varsity football field. We warmed up on the 45 yard line.My team started with stretches then moved on to sprints, bearcrwals, all the warmups. Sawyer, Preston, and I were chosen to be in the coin toss. “What are we doing?” our coach asked when we came back.

“Kicking” all three of us said at once.

The opening kick was caught at the 20 yard line and their fastest kid got the ball and ran it for another 20 yard gain. Next they tried to pass it but I was able to break through and sack their quarterback. Then they tried a run and it was good for nothing. They tried another pass but it was deflected by Brant [we call him bobble head because of his last name Bobeldyke] They were forced to punt.

The next play was a short pass play to preston it was a dead on hit to his chest he ran it for 7 yards and a first down. Next was a run to to Owen Holverstott who juked several kids out and ran to the end zone for a touchdown! The extra point was also good so the score was 7-0. We kicked it off and they let their fastest player run it for about 25-30 yards. Next they tried a bomber to that same kid near the end zone but he didn’t catch it right and Sawyer was able to pluck it out of the air and tuck it under his arm and start running before the other team realized. He ran it all the way for a touchdown. The extra point was no good so the score at the half was 13 -0 we were beating them.

Because we kicked it to them at the beginning of the game we got the ball after the half. Owen caught it and he’s usually a good runner but the other team was on us fast and Owen was hit and he fumbled it and they picked it up and they ran it all the way for a touchdown. They were able to score the extra point and that made the score

Kingston has the ball but is right away shut down by Belleview's defense, forcing them to punt the ball. Last Sunday the Buccaneers secondary just got destroyed by Case Keenum. Honestly, if I didn't know it was the Kennum playing I would have thought Peyton Manning came out of retirement to play in this game. Keenum threw for 369 yards and 3 touchdowns. The Vikings just picked apart Ryan Smith and Vernon Hargreaves all game. On the first drive, Adam Thielen just straight beat Vernon on a double move for 45-yards.…

The Kansas City Chiefs have put themselves on the proverbial ropes the first 4 weeks of the 2015 NFL season, losing 3 out of those first 4 contests, two in heartbreaking fashion. It seemed a welcome reprieve would be the dysfunctional franchise from the Windy City, otherwise known as the “Monsters of the Midway”. The 2015 version of the Chicago Bears resembled nothing even close to your grandpa’s Midway Monsters. The Bears were weak at the wide receiver position, and quarterback Jay Cutler had missed half of the games already this year due to injury. The defense was suspect and the offense even more so.…

So far since I have been walking on this planet I have seen and know many people, but few I have felt have gave me something that I have been truly grateful for. It is not my parents or my siblings, but is someone that I have only met once before for a brief period of time. I hope that one day I will be able to meet him again, but know I have to use what knowledge he has gave me to better my life. It was the summer of 2016 and the football team was told that we were going to meet some special guests, but we had no clue who it was and what we were going to do.…

Number 21 was running down the field, trying to catch up with the ball.…

In sixth hour crew class, the class is playing tchoukball and it's the most intensified game of tchoukball I have ever seen. It was the red team versus the green team, and when the game started the red team won the tip off. Tyler yelled “Cole I’m open!” , then Cole passed it to Tyler and he flung it on the rebounder like Aaron Rodgers throwing a football to Jordy Nelson, and the ball launched off the rebounder. The green team couldn’t catch it so the red team scored a point.…
