7) As a STE for 13 and a LW for 11 years, I have successfully applied the best administrative, management, and supervisory practices where I have effectively planned, led, organized, and directed the activities of a diverse, multi-disciplinary staff in the Construction and Design divisions to meet Ct mission, vision, and goals. I have also taken a proactive approach communicating to the team what is expected of them and implemented policies and directives, which resulted in the delivery of projects that meet or exceed the requirements. I have treated all staff members with respect, provided timely training, evaluated their performance, and given continuous feedback. I have always used my excellent supervisory skills by leading by example, letting staff know what is expected of them and always challenged them to find better processes and methods, or tools to improve our deliverables and empowered staff and encourage them to be innovative and always appreciated their work. I have successfully developed staff and LWs by inspiring them to grow and by providing adequate training and sharing the knowledge with others. I have developed staff to take ownership of the delegated authority and responsibility, and encourage them to build on each other strengths to add value. By implementing this leadership approach, I was able to create highly productive staff and prevented the need to take disciplinary action against any of the staff. I have applied logic in the decision-making process by analyzing situations and providing creative effective solutions for specific and general situations based on facts, rules, and science.
