Personal Narrative: The First Time I Walk Into The Ashley Band Room

The first time I walked into the Ashley band room, I had no idea what to do with myself. I was scared and trying to get used to a lot of changes that had just taken place in my life, and sitting in the front row being directed by someone three times my size was quite an intimidating way to start out my first day at a new school. Despite that, I quickly realized that I was setting myself up to be a part of something incredible when, during a quiet moment, someone in the back of the room (I still have no idea who it was) let out a loud Chewbacca growl. There were so many ways that you could have handled it, but you just said, “hey man, don’t growl at me!” and moved on with rehearsal. I’m probably the only person who remembers this happened,
