I can remember the gut feeling I had when I saw that that the dog wasn't in my backyard. Earlier that day I had just walked home from school and had let my to dogs out to use the restroom. Without consideration I went and just layed on on our worn sofa and laid there for quite a while without the thought of the dogs even going through my mind. I ate a snack which was lightly buttered popcorn that had bold salty flavor. When I came back to confirm that the dogs were still in the boundaries of the yard, I could see the vacant, silent, and lonely backyard with only one dog in my presence.

Then after a debate of how i need to be more responsible, we went out and looked all around but with no luck. I told my dad “We got real lucky can you imagine how bad we would have have felt if she ran
