Personal Narrative: The Desire To Sound Like And Uneducated Immigrant

I am amazed at how people speak now-a-days. It seems as though no one has been taught the correct way to converse with others. I understand the desire to connect with those around us through speech and behaviors, however, what I do not understand is the desire to sound like and uneducated immigrant who is learning to speak English.
