I was just starting to walk back with some of my friends from taekwondo because I was walking with them that year. I was picking candy up off the street. There was music and lots of people. When we got back we decided that we wanted to get something from Jimmie Cone. Also my mom figured out Jimmie Cone had a pizza truck there for the night.

I learned that being kind can affect other people and it doesn't have to be that big even though this was bigger than holding a door open for someone. This shows that being kind doesn't just affect the person you're being kind to it effects the person that is being kind. Being kind makes everyone feel

From the ages of 5 to 20, Dale Friend lived with no sisters or brothers outside of a village named Stony Ridge Ohio. Growing up in a farming community where over half of the population being Caucasian German folk, he barely experienced diversity except for the occasional Hispanics that came over to work in the summertime. When Dale graduated out of Eastwood High School at the age of 18, he left for Ohio State University in 1979. The idea behind my project is to show how the aphorisms were always running through Morrie's mind. I drew a silhouette of Morrie and filled it with aphorisms that stood out to me. I did this to show that Morrie, himself, came up with these aphorisms, and not someone else. Morrie used the aphorisms to teach and get a point across in a way that is easy to understand. My project is another tool to help get Morrie's many messages read.…

The point was to build relationships, problem solve, what to do in a conflict situation, and step outside of my comfort zone. I learned how to do every single one of those things. I realized that the kids are in need of someone who they can look up to and a dependable person who they can count on. For example, I was looking after a few kids that were doing homework and when walking around I hear a conversation of two kids.…

As the novel opens, Jimmie, a young boy, is leading a street fight against a troop of youngsters from another part of New York City's impoverished Bowery neighborhood. Jimmie is rescued by Pete, a teenager who seems to be a casual acquaintance of his. They encounter Jimmie's offhandedly brutal father, who brings Jimmie home, where we are introduced to his timid older sister Maggie and little brother Tommie, and to Mary, the family's drunken, vicious matriarch. The evening that follows seems typical: the father goes to bars to drink himself into oblivion while the mother stays home and rages until she, too, drops off into a drunken stupor. The children huddle in a corner, terrified.…

However, what happens when a person decides to not wait patiently for their food and/or drink and decide to rush the person in charge of making/giving him/her their food. When I arrived at Sheetz, there were several people that were in line for made-to-order food and drinks. I decided to order a peanut butter hot chocolate, which does not take long to make, however, there was several people before me.…

Prior to conducting this experiment, my hypothesis was that I was going to offend all of the people involved, so I prepared myself mentally for the backlash and negative feedback. Surprisingly, there was a range of emotions and reactions to me breaking this folkway. Emotions ranged from being completely offended and disgusted to finding it hysterical. The reactions from the people fluctuate from being angry and notifying the manager to asking me to join them for dinner. The experiment was conducted at least two times in both the bar and restaurant section, except for Sunday the 18th.…
