Decent Essays
The day I came to Job Corps, I remember leaving my house while my whole family was crying because I was leaving. The reason why they were crying is because I had never gone away from home before. Even though they were sad, at the same time they were happy because I was moving on with my life to better myself. It was hard for my dad to let me go because I am the oldest daughter and I have never separated from my dad. My little sister and my brother were crying too. For my sisters, I’m like their mother because they don’t have a mother here, and I have been taking care of them since they were little. The day I was coming to Job Corps is memorable for me because it I was a big step for my life. I remember coming here and not knowing anyone. I

I have always been interested in learning and using new ideas. Throughout my life, I have invariably drawn from my life experiences, newly learned ideas and my continuing education to help problem-solve sensibly and realistically allowing me to move forward or help others reach their goals. When dealing with 13 & 14 year olds many situations arise such as bullying, personality clashes or simply not understanding a drill or play. I deal with these situations by asking questions to stimulate a discussion, allowing them to draw on past experiences; positive or negative, consequently allowing them to come up with a solution or grasp the knowledge they are seeking.…
